There will be short-term changes on bus routes No. 24, 29 and 58 on July 16-18
„Rīgas satiksme” informs that on July 16-18, due to repair works at the railway level crossing in Atlantijas Street, changes will be made on bus routes No. 24, 29 and 58 to ensure transportation of passengers to Mangaļsala/Vecāķi and back.
Buses No. 24, 29 and 58 will run from terminals „Abrenes Street”, „Mežciems” and „Purvciems” by the route to c/c “Vecmīlgrāvis”, turn about and go back by the route. To go further to Mangaļsala and Vecāķi, passengers will have to cross the railway, on the other side of which transfer to the second part of bus routes No. 24 and 58 will be organized.
Buses No. 24 and 58 will run from terminals in Mangaļsala and Vecāķi by the route to the temporary stop near Laivinieku Street, at which passengers will get off buses. To continue their trips to the city centre, Mežciems and Purvciems, passengers will have to cross the railway line and go to bus stop „C/C "Vecmīlgrāvis"”, where transfer to the first part of bus routes No. 24, 29 and 58 will be organized.
The planned interval for transfer in the schedule is about 5 minutes.
The schedule of bus route No. 24 will be also changed due to the repair works see the schedule here) :
- when going in the direction from terminal „Mangaļsala”, the buses will depart 7 minutes earlier than usually;
- when going from temporary stop near Laivinieku Street in the direction of terminal „Mangaļsala”, the buses will depart 7 minutes later than usually.
There will be a new schedule in the second part of bus route No. 58 „Vecmīlgrāvis – Vecāķi” (see the schedule here).
Departure times of bus routes No. 24, 29 and 58 between terminals „Abrenes Street”, „Mežciems”, „Purvciems” and bus stop „C/C "Vecmīlgrāvis"” 24, 29 and 58 will not change.
Passengers who use trips (e-tickets for a certain number of trips or buy bus tickets from the driver, including pet tickets, have not to register their e-tickets again or buy another ticket from the driver after making a transfer from the first part of bus routes No. 24, 29 and 58 to the second part of bus routes No. 24 and 58 or vice versa (the registered/bought ticket will be valid for 1.5 hours in one direction).
Passengers who use monthly tickets or time tickets (e.g. for 24 h, 3 days, 5 days) have to register their e-tickets again after making a transfer from the first part of bus routes No. 24, 29 and 58 to the second part of bus routes No. 24 and 58 or vice versa.
Passengers who use fare discounts granted by Riga City Council have to register their trips after each transfer.
Passengers who do not use e-tickets but have the right to get a zero ticket from the driver (disabled persons of groups No. 1 and 2, disabled persons up to 18 years of age and a person accompanying a disabled person pf group 1 or a disabled person up to 18 years of age) have not to get another zero ticket from the driver after making a transfer from the first part of bus routes No. 24, 29 and 58 to the second part of bus routes No. 24 and 58 or vice versa.
We also inform that the scheduled repair works will influence the route of express bus No. 300. Express bus No. 300 will run from the Railway Terminal Square by the route to Augusta Dombrovska Street, then along Augusta Dombrovska Street, Baltāsbaznīcas Street, Vecāķu Avenue and further by the route. From Vecāķi, Vecdaugava the express bus will run by the route to Vecāķu Avenue, then along Vecāķu Avenue, Baltāsbaznīcas Street, Atlantijas Street, Kreimeņu Street, Augusta Dombrovska Street and further by the route.
